“Raging Romantics” is an intense and provocative 90 min collage of their letters, prose writings and their immortal poetry – a seamless raging debate on the politics of freedom, on religion, on poetry itself; the lacerating wit and unsparing honesty of their thoughts about themselves, each other, Wordsworth, Blake, Shakespeare and their critics – as they evolved their startling creed for a new kind of poetry committed to challenge and change in themselves and the world then and to come.
“Raging Romantics” has had rehearsed readings between 2008 and 2012 and has now been refined to the point where it is ready for a full scale production and tour. The script of “Raging Romantics” is available for download in a separate post (“Download RR”) under ‘The Romantic Poets’.
